Hop-On, Irvine CA,  announced some days ago that its low end GSM cell phone with no LCD screen is hopping all over the European Markets!
Just in the last two weeks of introducing the disposable cell phone, Hop-on has received orders for over 150,000 pieces and more each day.
HOP-ON develops and markets wireless phones and accessories for emerging market and other domestic carriers and is best known for developing the world’s first disposable cell phone.
The phone allows voice calls and SMS. It will be cheap: about 13 €. It contains an ink that conducts electricity which replaces the printed circuits. This ink is printed on paper or cardboard-based material. That means: light weight of the system and its low price. The battery can be recharged and can be almost totally recycled. . This disposable cell phone can be the solution in case of robbery or loss of your “traditional” mobile phone. It can also be the solution if you go abroad and you don’t want to use your cell phone. This handset can integrate a GPS module for localisation of your kids.
Last but not least: ads can be inserted in.
Environment awareness doesn’t mean no business !
