Scopitone is a festival in Nantes from Sept. 17 to Sept. 21 surrounding music, image artwork and digital art.
By crossing the universes of music, image artwork, live production and digital art, Scopitone offers a path of artistic discovery in the heart of cultural, unordinary or emblematic venues in the city of Nantes.
Resolutely transdisciplinary, the festival addresses a large and eclectic audience.
It gathers interactive installations, concerts, multimedia performances, dance and video, visual art, film-concert and digital leisure.
Most of the artists have an impressive educational background as well as artistical one such as Zachary Lieberman (read infos about him on wikipedia site). He works on the human-computer interaction. By the way he is a teacher in New York City.
He is one of the examples of the connection between innovation, R&D and arts. His work is called “Drawn/ Gesture Machines” and please go in the Friche Numérique and try it !
