Since the beginning of January, I have been working for the Invest in Western France agency. It aims at attracting foreign investments in Western France. And it’s a co-organiser of the California Tech Showcase (CTS).

The CTS is a business convention held in conjunction with La Baule-World Investment Conference. I am eager to go there ‘cause I know La Baule quite well… long beach, shinny days and lots of fun! But the most exciting will be to meet worldwide leaders and to speak with geeks. I will be there on June 5th and 6th, 2008 !! Do you want to join ?

I know the CTS07 was a great success for some of the 40 start-ups which were there since they have built partnerships with worldwide leaders on their segment. To give a few examples, one completed 18M$ round to expansion in Europe, one completed 35M$ round from a massive French bank and will open an office in Paris and an other one completed $63.6M round and announced Opening of a headquarter in Madrid. This event is a real opportunity to me to make known the Western regions, to learn more about innovation and over all to have fun in La baule !
