The « Starry garden » is a work of Kinya Maruyama, a Japanese artist, made in connection with the Paimboeuf inhabitants.

It is one of the 6 pieces of work Estuaire Nantes <> Saint Nazaire 2007-2009-2011 that are installed permanently between Nantes and St Nazaire along the Loire.

Yes, the 5th other works (described on Invest in Europe blog) are nice and interesting : « Les anneaux – D. Buren & P. Bouchain, « Did I miss something ?  » – Jeppe Hein, « L’Observatoire » – Tadashi Kawamata, « Suite de Triangles Saint Nazaire 2007″ – Felice Varini and « Misconceivable » – Erwin Wurm (please tell that this work must be installed permanently in Le Pellerin !).

But I do prefer the « Starry Garden ».
