Picnic 2008 is over.

During 3 days, many events let attendees develop their networks and learn a lot about the Dutch design, entertainment, music, fun, Internet, I mean the Dutch creativity :
Picnic conference, Picnic specials, Picnic labs, Picnic Club, Picnic green challenge (yes, Picnic is also green !).
The Green Challenge winner is Eben Bayer from Ecovative Design in NY about his product Greensulate »tm (organic building product that can be used in insulation panels and is made from local agricultural bi-products).
Focus : I attended The Nextwomen Brainstorm Camp where start-up pitches were shown by the future female heroes of the Internet. 2 points : not only men are involved in Internet technologies ! and women don’t only mean « pink ».

 Other focus : Philip Rosedale, Second Life told about reality vs virtuality.

I attended the Creative Tour organised by the Amsterdam Chamber of Commerce, Mediaguild – an incubator that combines a focus on new media with a traditional guild-like support system and Syntens - that stimulates SME’s to innovate -was really interesting : I met some innovative start-ups at the Chamber of Commerce in Amsterdam while having a networking dinner.

Last but not least, maybe some know my interest in theatre and acting ! So I got the chance to see the comedians of Idiots of Ants. Great time !
I am sure you know them : they created a parody of a famous social network on Youtube.
