I had wondered for such a long time why I bought a car with a sunroof but without air-conditioning… Yes, a sunroof seems funny except during shinny days when my car reaches 50°c ! I swore at my ‘great’ idea until my colleague told me about a brilliant innovation…
A Swedish start-up has created a plastic foil which can regulate throughputs of light thanks to an electrical voltage. It consists in using a structure made of several different materials bordered by two polyester films. This product creates an electrochromic foil which can change its degree of darkness thanks to an electrical voltage.
In fact, if my sunroof’s car had this plastic foil on the glass (as well as all the windows of my vehicle), the sun would not heat so much the inside of my car. What a magical invention, isn’t it?! Furthermore, there are more possible applications: for eyewear, smart windows for offices and homes, and semi-static displays. One more thing…it is much better than air-conditioning!
Much better for energy consumption and for climatic warm-up…Digg this article!
