Who said Western France was not innovative ?
This morning, while I was drinking my tea, I came across an article (Nantes Métropole, mars/avril 2008, n°14) about an astonishing innovation! A French engineer, Mr Grimont, has hatched a futurist concept which is going to revolutionize the boat market as it currently exists. Where it is not technically possible to set an harbour up, Mr Grimont will build his BLUERING harbour. It ”consists of assambling large diameter self-stabilising rings in versatile process“. Thanks to this, we will see harbours in cities! In addition, the concept seems economically viable and environmental thought. It allows for example waste water removals and water cleaning techniques.
Here is a picture a saw in the bluering website: www.bluering.fr

And guess what ? Bluering is based in Atlanpole (technopole of Nantes-Saint Nazaire metropolitan area’s economic basin), Nantes.
It would be great to see him at the California Tech Showcase ![]()
